Those Who Have Ears.......

"Those who have ears to hear, let them hear......." is often how I end my posts. Are you okay with folks not hearing you or understanding where you're coming from? From the looks of social media, most of us have issue with it. I've struggled with this concern, off and on, since beginning to write out my thoughts and share them with the world, back in 2005 or so. I would refrain from saying certain things, afraid of what others may think of me. How I was seen by others was a factor that should have never been.

I am glad that I did post as much as I did. I go back to my old journals, comparing my mind, then, to my mind, now, and the growth is evident. I am grateful for the growth, and this continued desire to learn even more. I've digressed......

There is this thing that I do believe in, called "Meant to be.......". Connecting this caboose to the cars already on this train of thought, think about it. Not everyone is meant to "get you", understand you, or even hear you. Say it, and keep walking! In other words, sew the seed and move on to the next row. It's already hoed, you're sewing, and someone else will swing through and water it. Your role is meant to be. Your hearers are meant to be, and likely not the people you are hoping will hear, people you're forcing to hear you, or the people you are trying to maybe please and impress.

In fact, my beginnings with this "share my thoughts" thing began as emails sent to my Parents and Brothers, hoping to spark discussions on things we never really talked about as a family, when we were all under the same roof. I only ever got response from my Mother, and she even admonished me a time or two, to be careful what I shared because of how people would take it. A co-worker walked by my desk one day, noticed the title of the Word document I was working on. She simply asked if she could read it once I finished. After reading, she asked what I was going to do with it. I told her about my emails to my family. She asked to be added to the distribution list. Within a few months, there were 100+ people receiving my random thoughts via email. I sought out none of them.

Today, everyone wants followers. I prefer hearers and, at this point in my life, I am okay if there are only a handful. A shepherd can only effectively, efficiently handle a certain number of sheep. I am getting better at posting, and not caring too much what will be thought by anyone. I feel that if it is meant to be shared from my heart, those who are meant to hear, will hear.

Love, in its truest, most natural form can heal mankind.

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.......
