The Corner of the Eye.......

"My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgement and discretion (Proverbs 3:21)..."

This morning, as I prepared the coffee for brewing, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. I turned suddenly to see what it was. It would be silly to think that some animal or person had somehow gotten into our house and was playing around on the sofa. Then, I remembered that about seven or eight cardinals were bouncing around on the deck, on the chairs, the railing, the grill, etc. That's exactly what caught my eye, the Cardinals outside the window behind the sofa. I'd not have known this if had not turn to get the full view. The corner of the eye view of anything is never a full view, and cannot provide a full understanding of what you see from that particular perspective. Turning your head to get a full view, is always best before judging or "calling it."

Living and judging by stereotypes are like viewing the entire world, your entire life, from the corner of your eye. Too many of us have done it. Too many of us still do it. A lot of times, these wicked ways of living, in terms of our treatment of others, is based on some junk we've HEARD, but not seen. Imagine being blind, and your guides (parents, neighbors, grandparents, friends, etc.) tell you that the sound of every breaking twig is a grizzly bear. You'd live your entire life in fear of that sound.......THAT SOUND! Then, when you are blessed with sight, you clearly see that it's YOUR people (parents, neighbors, grandparents, friends, etc.) stepping on all the damned twigs!

This is what we do to our children and future generations when we hand down the ignorance, stupidity, and wickedness of our and previous generations. We leave them blind to forward vision. They never fully see what needs to be seen and understood, as they are too busy jumping at and fearing all movement in the corners of their eyes. Unfortunately, many youngans feel obligated to foul family and racial traditions. Even when blindsided by Truth and the reality of Truth, they pick themselves and carry animosity toward Truth because it "hurt them," rather than accept what sits clearly before their eyes.

Our flesh, in various sizes and colors, is merely corner of the eye views of who we truly are. When you allow yourself true spiritual growth, you will clearly see this. When you are able to see and sense the souls of people, you find treasure in each one. The compassion learned in the example of Christ can truly heal the world. The unfortunate Truth and reality is that not all people are interested in anything outside of their personal agendas.

"The beginning of Wisdom is this: Get Wisdom. Though it cost you all you have, get Understanding (Proverbs 4:7)."

To get anything, you must go after it for yourself. To know if what you've heard is Truth or Righteous, you must meet, see, study it for yourself.

Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.......
