My co-worker and I were discussing poison this morning. I remember posting something a while back about poison. We, people, tend to think that as long as poison is closed tightly in a container, it is ok for it to sit next to our water supply. I don’t care how it is packaged, sealed, or how pretty it is, it is STILL poison and a hazard to your home. I personally have zero tolerance for poison in my life and in the lives of my family members. It’s almost like when Jesus says, “And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell..” As humans, we have allowed society to desensitize us to such scripture. Yes, it is extreme and “unrealistic” to us but it is the approach we ALL should take to the poisons of gossip, poisons of people who harbor bitterness and jealousy in their hearts, poisons of simply evil people and activities, and poisons of ill thoughts. Such should be severed from our lives! As long as that bottle is on my counter, I HAVE to pay attention to it. I HAVE to worry about it. I HAVE to watch my family around it. This is UNNECESSARY worry and stress that I add to my own life by allowing it to remain! So, why not PUT IT OUT and ease my mind and ease my life??!!
Allowing poison to remain in your life is like saying, “Fire Ants are cool, as long as they stay in the yard and as long as I don’t step on the mounds…” Stupid, right? As long as they are allowed to remain, your home and your family are in danger. WHY do so many people play the blind game, as though they don’t know what’s best for them?? Then, they turn to criticize and attempt to tear apart the lives of those who HAVE a clue and are trying their best to do right by their families and by God!! If your Kool Aid tastes like crap, KEEP YOUR FILTHY HANDS OUT OF OTHER FOLKS’ PITCHERS!! If you want something that tastes better than what you got, then just ask your “cluefull” neighbor for their Kool Aid recipe. Why criticize and taint what you KNOW to be good and genuine, out of disappointment with your own choices that you refuse to correct??
Poison is poison. Poison is detrimental. Poison kills. Plain and simple!! I will not allow it around my house, my family, my own being. There are times we have to go out into poisonous environments, but we all, as grown folks, know how to protect ourselves in such times. Some folks live with the attitude that there is poison in the world and there is nothing we can do about it. True, poison is all over the place, but MY YARD does not have to be one of these environments!! What you allow into your life is your own fault! There is so much that we have no control over, happening to us and around us already! Why allow unnecessary stupid stuff into your life??
Bottom Line: It’s your choice, what you allow into your life. Be bold enough to call a spade a spade! Be bold enough to leave the rattlesnake alone, freezing and cold, KNOWING that he is a rattlesnake and he WILL strike you if you free him!!
THE INDIAN & THE SNAKE
IT WAS VERY COLD ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN AND THE INDIAN KNOW THAT HE WOULD FREEZE IF HE DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE VALLEY BELOW. AS HE WAS WALKING HE CAME ACROSS A SNAKE.
THE SNAKE WAS FREEZING TO DEATH. THE SNAKE SAID TO THE INDIAN "PLEASE CARRY ME TO THE VALLEY." THE INDIAN SAID "NO NO YOU ARE A SNAKE AND YOU WILL BITE ME." THE SNAKE SAID "NO I WON'T BITE YOU IF YOU HELP ME. IF YOU DO NOT HELP ME I WILL DIE." THE INDIAN SAID "IF YOU GAVE ME YOUR WORD THAT YOU WILL NOT BITE ME, I WILL CARRY YOU TO THE VALLEY." THE SNAKE SAID " I PROMISE, I PROMISE IF YOU SAVE MY LIFE I WILL NOT BITE YOU."
SO THE INDIAN PICKED UP THE SNAKE AND PUT THE SNAKE INSIDE HIS VEST, TO KEEP THE SNAKE WARM AND TO MAKE IT EASIER TO CARRY THE SNAKE DOWN THE MOUNTAIN
WHEN THEY REACHED THE VALLEY, THE INDIAN TOOK THE SNAKE OUT OF HIS VEST AND LAID HIM ON THE GROUND
THEN THE SNAKE BITE THE INDAIN. THE INDIAN SAID "YOU BIT ME AND YOU GAVE ME YOUR WORD THAT YOU WOULDN'T."
THE SNAKE SAID "YOU KNEW WHAT I WAS WHEN YOU PICKED ME UP." (Author Unknown)
Moral of the story?? DON’T BE AN IDIOT WITH YOUR LIFE!!!
