We are all rivers, meant to flow. The natural function of a river is to flow, right? Needless to say, dams are unnatural. You following? Think about the reasons we come up with for damming up our rivers. It's always some claim to benefit the area, the community, the state, the region. It's all good. But damming the rivers only makes way for the things that were not meant to be, to come about.
Imagine the river of you being all dammed up. You become a lake, around which real estate starts to be developed. Homes, resorts, fishing camps, etc. now surround you. You become content with it. Everybody loves the new stagnant you...........EXCEPT for those who loved you for your natural flowing self who reside in the areas, to which you no longer flow. The "lake" is not you!! The "river" IS you, no matter what! You are what God created you to be!! True, the new lake community loves you, but they don't need you. They love what they can get out of you, but who you truly are, they have no clue.
It's those who know you, respect you, and love you as the river you truly are, who should be of greatest value in your life. If the lake folk truly loved and needed you, they would have shown you such, while you were still a river. Again, the lake community is unnatural and was never meant for you. Think about it. Your river is meant to reach God knows who and where. So, why hinder His will for you, your life, by allowing your rivers to be dammed for worldly gain and satisfaction!! I choose to put all nonsense aside and let me flow to the points and places that are meant specifically for me!
If you've never sat along side the mighty Mississippi, I suggest you do so at some point in your life. Power, is all I could think at the times I would sit at the riverfront in New Orleans to watch the Muddy Mississippi flow.
I LOVE ALL Y'ALL!! LET YOUR RIVERS FLOW, NATURALLY!!
