I feel that so much of what we need to know concerning ourselves, our lives, and the world comes from within our own hearts. It is my opinion that not many of us are as committed to our hearts as we are to the lives we've created outside of our hearts. For me, it always comes back to this, "But the Lord said to Samuel,'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'”
Within my own heart, is where I find the clearest insight. Within my heart is where I feel closest to God. God always confirms what He has already affirmed in us. This confirmation, for me, often comes from an unexpected conversation with a friend or family member who I might not have talked to in quite some time. I may even be bold enough to say that I'd put more trust and stock into insight, than I would instinct. Emotional impulse, in a lot of cases, is mistaken for instinct. Instinct is heavily influenced or overruled by personal desires and wants. Insight is a "mind-broadener," enabling us to see more of the big picture and not just the little corner that attracts us the most. Insight allows us to see all that needs to be considered when making certain choices and decisions.
From my heart, I gain new insight, yet only when my heart is given over to its Creator, God. He is the source of my love.......
Much love to my Cousin Mark for helping me formulate this thought with his conversation today. I love you Bro!! I love everyone else too!!
