Have you ever seen what you've always wanted to see,
And find yourself in awe at how such a thing can be?
That's what I see
When I gaze upon you and me.
Feelings never dealt,
Love never felt
Like this before.
My heart can't ignore.
Yes, you are mine.
Ball and chain?
Yes, and it's all fine.
Sure, but by the right hen.
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!! ENJOY YOUR DAY AND YOUR WEEKEND!!! BE BLESSED!!
The market of a man will always crash. This is the thought that comes to mind after pondering the whole Creflo Dollar mess. Madness, I say!! When pride becomes my god, I will NEVER find wrong in what I do or how I do it. I will feel entitled to all upon which I lay my eyes, hands, and imaginations. There have been many men, of a sort of god, to fall and fail hard! Accountability is one of the things that may be lacking here, folks or committees, or boards of HONEST people who can keep their leaders in check. Yet, SO MANY of us see the benefits and decide to ride it out, gathering the spoils left by those being led blindly to the slaughter.
P.S.A. YOU CANNOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GOD!! GOD PROVIDES ALL FOR FREE!! YES, HE ASKS FOR YOUR TRUST, YOUR OBEDIENCE, YOUR FAITH, AND EVEN YOUR TITHE!! BUT A TITHE IS NOT ALWAYS MONEY!! IF ANY PREACHER TELLS YOU THAT A TITHE CAN ONLY BE GIVEN IN THE FORM OF MONEY, THEN HE OR SHE IS EITHER AN INTENTIONAL LIAR OR A SIMPLE AND MISGUIDED SOUL!! WE CAN NOT ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE IGNORANT OF THE VERY GOD WE CLAIM TO LOVE AND SERVE. THANKS TO MARTIN LUTHER, BACK IN THE DAY, WE ARE ABLE TO SEE, STUDY, AND LEARN THE WORD OF GOD FOR OURSELVES.......IF WE SO CHOOSE! BUYING STOCK IN MERE MEN/WOMEN, IS ALWAYS A RISK!! WHEN YOU MAKE IT ALL ABOUT MONEY, MORE SO THAN GOD, THEN YOUR MARKET WILL CRASH.......MANNN!!!
Laziness, plays into these situations, I believe. This laziness is on the part of many congregation members. Lots of folks think that as long as they give that monetary tithe and extra cash offerings, they are good and need not do anything else. The way a lot of corrupt men preach today, you'd believe such nonsense. In laziness, we just take the man of a sort of god's word for it all. I'm not saying we have to be debating all the time and challenging our leaders, but it's no different from your high school and college courses. Healthy debate and dialogue are all part of the learning and growing process. My daughter and I had a bit of an argument this morning. She took my response to a particular thing as a blanket response to all other interests of hers. It was about swim suits. Dad's and daughters will rarely ever agree in this matter. When she went silent, I could not be lazy and allow that. I asked about other options and she had several, that would have never been seen, had I not continued to talk to her. In furthering the conversation, she felt better and got a BETTER understanding of my point of view and why I said what I said about the first swim suit. Think about it. Slavery was justified by folks back in the day, through misuse of Scripture. Too often, we believe in things until there is a challenge. It is sad to think that the Word has to defend itself against itself! Who pits the Word against itself? WE DO!!
We honor God with what we have and with what we are able to give. For those of us who believe money is all God asks of us in tithing, what about the poor and homeless?? What about those who have no money?? Do we condemn them to hell because they are "failing God?" If all I had was my writing, and of every 100 pieces, 10 of them were praises, sermons and words honoring and teaching about God, what would you think of me? If I were a farmer and set aside a 10th of every harvest to feed the poor in my community, would you judge me for not dropping bills in the collection plate at church on Sunday?
We, the people, play a huge role in the crashing of the markets of men! The hardness in which they fall has everything to do with the heights to which we elevate them. I remember a pastor telling his congregation, "Y'all are supposed to be taking care of me, NOT the other way around!!" To an extent, I agree, but it's not something you stand in the pulpit and demand of your flock (if it is truly YOUR flock to start with). God will provide for His servants, through people, but HOW HE SEES FIT!! Imagine a great preacher in a pulpit not his. Imagine a pastor of a flock, never intended to be his. I believe that there are awesome ministers out there who were never meant to pastor, but have made it their calling. Perversion and corruption inhabit every course except the one you're meant to be on. When you are out of place, nothing will last and you will find more struggle to stay where you are than not.
"Honey Drippers" we are with words. You catch more flies with honey, right? Even Jesus spit salt every now and again, but that's not what any of us really wants to hear when we go to church. We want to continue to hear and believe that God will bless us and bless us and bless us, while never having to do anything for anyone else. With every blessing comes an assignment of stewardship. This is where we can be identified as selfish. When we prove ourselves to be sucky stewards over God's grace, we choke the hose to the faucet. Then, we wonder why the yard is drying up. If we take honest looks at our lives, as they are, we will find blessings we never recognized as blessings. We will realize how neglectful we've been to many of these blessings! We will replay days, moments, and situations in our heads where we saw our true blessings look upon us with disappointed eyes, as we pour into the thoughts and imaginations of future and further blessings! Mothers, Fathers, Sons, Daughters, Husbands, Wives, Family & Friends are ALL blessings to our lives. God honors those of us who honor these. It ALWAYS starts at home.......even church!!
You know what? I'm gonna stop right here. Just friggin THINK people!! THINK FOR YOURSELVES!! SEEK FOR YOURSELVES!! Such news as a major spiritual leader falling, as Mr. Dollar has, is not news to me. It's expected, but never news! Staying on the ground prevents devastating falls, let alone jet crashes!!
HAPPY SATURDAY!! CATHARTIC, this has been! I LOVE ALL Y'ALL!!
"Pikalo" (hood version of Piccolo) was the nickname given me at a very early age, by one of the elder Sigler boys, "Bey Bey". It stuck and to this day, some cats back home still call me by it. Nicknames, back in the day, were like badges of honor. They meant you were cool, accepted, one of the crew. Over time, new names were given, "White Boy" and "Billy-Ho". These are all self-explanatory, I believe, as to how they apply. LOL!
I love my many nicknames and still wear them like badges of honor, acceptance, and belonging to the Pinewood Crew & HP4Life family. Yet, there is a nickname, which truly IS a badge of honor for which I will forsake all others. That nickname is "Daddy"! The love and affection I receive from my youngans as they call my name fills my heart and soul with pride and joy. To think that God would grace me with such blessings, truly humbles me! Then, He goes even further to bless me with two more joy-makers??!! WOW!! Surrounded by love, I am! I actually DO love my life!!
NOTHING BEATS DADDY!!!
HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE!! BE BLESSED & KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED!!
Pen and Paper.......the onliest sedative for this beast. Wrestling with this monster, at times, is all there ever seems to be. Then, I look at the mirror, to only be staring back at me. The Beast within.......but I always win!
Your kiss is a sip of your soul, laced with honey.
This portal, this passage, found between you and me.
My soul, your soul, as our bodies lie in trance
Come together to perform the most elegant of dance.
Two rivers, yet the eye sees only one.
A universe of three, you, me, and the sun.
Sip, savor, inhale, ingest, imbibe, your soul, I want to
Take it all down into the essence and origin of me.
Deeper than anyone has ever gone, I find you
In all extremities, my fingers, my toes, in the follicles on my head, you be.
Your kiss is a sip of your soul, laced with honey.
A place, a realm, created only for you and me.
To be so blessed with the ability to taste, sip, and breathe in the soul of another is beyond these words, beyond human understanding. Even after this expression, my chest is congested with more. I can't cough it up. I can't explain it. It exists in a language only spoken by our souls, between our souls; a language that, outside of our souls, can only be understood by the Creator of our souls. Still, my words are inadequate.
It is what it is.
HAPPY FRIDAY!! I PRAY THAT EVERY HEART AND SOUL IS ALRIGHT! I LOVE Y'ALL, EACH AND EVERY ONE!!
