What comes to mind, when you think of Dragons? Fire? Destruction? Desolation? Death? Yeah, that's pretty much all we ever think of when dealing with Dragons. Is it possible that a Dragon might have a heart, feelings, and emotions (other than pissed off all the time)? Has anyone ever thought that the Dragon may be weary of his hot and hellish ways, or the fire that is ever-burning in his gut? Has anyone ever thought to offer the Dragon a glass or pitcher of ice cold Country Time??
Yeah, this is gonna be a weird one, but somebody is gonna feel me on this. What if all the Dragon has been offered is gas, kerosene, firewood, and diesel fuel rather than a good old fashioned thirst quencher, like Country Time? Imagine a Dragon, going straight guano on the countryside, burning farm after farm. As he approaches the final farm, he is met by the Farmer with a pitcher of ice cold Country Time. Bewildered, the Dragon downs the pitcher, and immediately feels what he has never felt.......PEACE.......within himself, throughout his being, and in his heart. A relationship begins, a friendship, between the Dragon and the Farmer. True, the fire still resides inside the Dragon, but the Farmer provides exactly what the Dragon needs to have peace and balance in his life.
The Dragon goes as far as to help the Farmer plant his fields, tend the crops, and even rebuild the surrounding farms that the Dragon once decimated. Protector, the Dragon becomes of the community that took him in. Thanks to the courage and bravery of ONE, a Dragon has found a Beautiful Peace, that has been longed for, all his life. Furthermore, an entire community has gained a new respect for and understanding of what was once only known as fire, destruction, desolation, and death.
We all know Dragons in our lives, and more often than not, we only fuel their fires. Have you ever thought to offer a quencher of fire, rather than an accelerant? Think about it.
Sometimes you simply have to get to the heart of a person, to fully understand their value, as well as your own, if any.......
HAPPY WEDNESDAY Y'ALL!!! I LOVE YOU ALL, EACH AND EVERY ONE!!
This one's for you, Baby Love!
I just had a brief thought; all relationships have their own language. This language is only understood by the involved parties. I am going to give interpretations of my "I love you's".
1. I love you. = I love you.
2. I love you. = I'm sorry Baby, but I didn't hear any of what you just said to me (Angry Birds).
3. I love you so much, Baby. = Baby, no matter what you say, I'm not changing my mind.
4. OMG, I love you! = Thank you for loving me the way you do! Thank you for loving me in spite of me.
5. God, I love you! = Baby, please stop because my nerves can't take it right now.
6. I love you! x3 = Baby, hold me! Somebody in this room is seven seconds away from decimation!
7. I love you sofa king much! = Baby, I treasure you and will incinerate cities to protect you and our monkeys!
It's amazing what can be found behind simple words, right? Well, if you are in a relationship or marriage with someone you truly adore, then cherish it! Love it! Respect it!! Not everyone is blessed enough to live in such a world of love, where the language spoken is incomprehensible to all outside of it.
Baby Love, Crimesha Evette Cutts, The Bryan Tamer as Mattie put it, I love how our hearts communicate! Through words spoken and unspoken, through looks and glances, and through simple touch, there is nothing that goes unheard or misunderstood between us. Some folk would say "real talk", but I say "heart talk", when it comes to me and you, My Love.
Those who have ears, let them hear!!
Band of Horses has a song titled, "No One's Gonna Love You." The chorus, hook, whatever you want to call it says, "But/And no one is ever gonna love you more than I do. No one's gonna love you more than I do." I am not even sure what sparks this thought in me this morning, but there are times when those closest to you will tell you how awesome you are, how much they love you, encourage you, and speak nothing but life into you and around you. Yet, they will speak to others about you with the utmost disrespect, share your secrets and weaknesses with absolute derision and contempt. How many of you have ever shared your entire being with folks, only to have them put it out into the streets? To take the matters and struggles of another's life or heart and share with irrelevant others accomplishes what? Other than a broken trust and an automatic add to their heart's "Do Not Call List"? We've all been guilty of it at different points in our lives and some of us are guilty of it, this very day. If someone considers you their safe zone and refuge, please honor and respect that, simply by being who they believe you to be. This goes for friendships, serious relationships, marriages, and any other connection between persons involving trust and confidentiality.
Well, there is a scripture that comes to mind as I explore this random thought today: "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home." What I've come to realize and learn over the past twenty years of my life is that people are flawed and simply human, capable of mistakes and many other things. We often put more stock in the possibility of perfection in people, than we do in the One perfect being. We allow what people think, feel and say, to dictate how we carry ourselves. We have to decide who it is we serve and live accordingly. We have to find our purpose and calling, then act accordingly. We can't allow broken trust, betrayal, ridicule, or even the disbelief of folks to dictate our lives and actions.
God speaks to us in the same language as Band of Horses in the aforementioned song, "No one's gonna love you more than I do!" Jesus understood this and did not allow the lack of belief and faith in His hometown to stop Him from performing miracles and healing those in need. As a kid, I used to question how people could be so mean, disrespectful, and contemptuous toward Christ, after all the good He did. Well, with the acceptance of truth, comes conviction and accountability. Some of us would rather silence the truth, so that we can continue to justify our chosen living and actions in whatever ways the world accepts. In this day and age, everything BUT the truth is highly acceptable to the world. So, the easy route is to live without integrity; to do as everyone else is doing; to go with the flow of a capricious society.
Anyway, I am not sure who this message is meant for but I pray that it is heard by the hearts and souls who need it. God is our refuge! God is our Guide! God loves us more and in ways no human can! Understand that people, even our loved ones, will let us down at times, but don't allow it to throw you off course. Keep on keeping on toward your purpose and calling. NOTHING can stop you, except your own foot being applied to the brake! God LOVES you!
